Seagate External Hard Drive Not Initialized

CHECKING THE CONNECTIVITY

  • Make sure that you have properly connected the external hard drive to the USB port on your computer.

  • Now, you will see the Computer Management window on the screen.
  • Next, you need to choose the Disk Management below the Storage section.
  • In the window that appears, Right-click on the Seagate external hard drive and choose the Initialize Disk option from the drop-down list.

  • Here, choose the drive letter from the drop-down list. Click Next.
  • Now, select the Format this volume with the following settings option and choose the File system and Volume label from the respective drop-down lists

UPDATING THE DEVICE DRIVER
