CHECK THE CONNECTIVITY:

INITIALIZING AND PARTITIONING THE DRIVE:

• Make sure to connect the Seagate Expansion hard drive to your computer.
• Select the Start menu on your computer.
• Now, launch the Run dialog box using the search bar at the bottom.
• Next, type compmgmt.msc into the respective field and press the Enter key on the keyboard.
• Now, you will see the Computer Management window on the screen.
• Select Disk Management below the Storage section.
• Next, right-click on the Seagate Expansion hard drive and choose the Initialize Disk option from the drop-down list.
• Now, select the partition style and click OK.
• After initializing the disk, the partition will show Unallocated status.
• Next, right-click on the Unallocated partition and select New Simple Volume from the drop-down list.

• Select the partition size and click the Next button.

• Now, go to Format this volume with the following settings option and select the File system and Volume label from the drop-down list.
