Resetting Sandisk SSD

Important Note:

Using Sandisk SSD Dashboard

You can reset your SanDisk SSD using its Dashboard. But, before you begin, check if your SSD supports Sanitize. If yes, continue with the following instructions. Otherwise, try the alternative method to reset or erase your SSD.

  • Now, open the SanDisk Dashboard on your computer.
  • Click on the Tools menu.
  • Go to the Drive Management section.
  • Click on the Sanitize option.
  • Click On The Sanitize Option
  • Now, click the Erase Now button in the opened window if your SanDisk SSD is not in your computer's boot drive (C: drive).
  • Click The Erase Now Button
  • Erase the data and reset the SSD by following the prompts displayed on the screen.
  • If the SSD is in “C: drive,” create a bootable USB drive by clicking the Create USB Drive button.
  • Create A Bootable Usb Drive To Erase The Drive
  • After doing that, reset the drive using the bootable drive.

If your SanDisk SSD doesn’t support the Sanitize option, format it to erase the data from it.
