- You will see the “Your recovery key has been saved” message at the top of the screen.

- Here, choose the way you want to encrypt your hard drive and click the Next button.
- Select the encryption mode you want to use from the list and click on the Next button.
- To encrypt your external hard drive, click the Start encrypting button.
- Wait for some time to complete the encryption process.

- Next, eject your hard drive from the computer.
- Reconnect the external hard drive to your device to access it.
- The BitLocker window will appear on the screen.
