Combine Multiple Drives Into One Volume In 2022

Follow these simple instructions to combine multiple hard drives into one big volume.

  • Initially, ensure that all the hard drives you want to combine are connected to your Windows 10 computer.
  • Now, open the Disk Management app with admin rights.
  • If there is any partition created in the drive you want to combine, delete it.
  • To do so, right-click on the unallocated area of the drive and choose the Delete Volume option.
  • Now, locate and move the mouse cursor over one of the drives and right-click on it.
  • Choose the New Spanned Volume option (if you want to combine HDDs of different sizes to one) or the New Striped Volume (to combine HDDs of the same size to one) option from the context menu.
  • Now, the New Spanned Volume or New Striped Volume dialog box will open.
  • Choose the drives that you wish to combine and add them.
  • Click Next.
  • Now, if the “New Striped Volume-Format Volume” screen opens, select the “Format this volume…” option and type the File System, Allocation unit size, and volume label options as per your preferences.
  • Select The Format This Volume Option
  • Click Perform a quick format > Next.

Now, your drives will be combined into one single volume.
