This is a great external storage drive. Small, powered by usb connection so no plugs. The backup software seems to be working well and does incrementals, at least for "my" data. Have tested the incrementals for my personal data and works fine. Also using to manage and store my own archives. am quite satisfied.

OK system - but because it is not powered other than by the USB it is very slow especially if moving large files -- other than that good system small with large capacity - I would recommend it.
 Plug n' Play did not work out of the box September 4, 2010

The device did not install on my Windows 7 PC. The plug n' play feature failed to install the device drivers. I tried uninstalling the drivers and scanning for new hardware, but all attempts failed. I am returning it for a different brand.

Did not work when I received it. No information in manual about installation. I am assuming this is plug and play, as I said no information was provided in the manual or on the Toshiba website. Be careful when ordering this, as this was a waste of my time. Feel very frustrated because of the lack of information anywhere on the Toshiba website. Also, they make it very difficult just to find an email address to contact somebody on their site.

Plug-no-play. I pulled it out of the box, tried for an hour to get my laptop to see it, failed; tried my 2 desktop machines, no; tried my friend's 2 laptops, still nothing. Return.
