I have had the drive for a couple of months now. It is working well and in accordance with my expectations. The delivery was super prompt. It comes with a backup program which I just recently tried to use. So I don't know much about it.

LaCie 301848U USB 2.0 external hard drive serves the purpose for which I had bought it. It is reliable, faster when connected to the eSATA and has a huge storage space. I'm disappointed that my brand new MacBook Pro does not have an option for eSATA cable. But it works wonderfully on my home pc on Windows 7. For some reason it failed to format automatically and I had to do it manually. It was irritating. I get to transfer the files, and about 200 to 300 gb worth of them every day and the job is done smooth.
There could have been more of colors. Loud orange for my black pc.

LaCie is a dependable brand. The storage in the hard drive should be enough to put all personal data.

This is an amazing product. I don't know what the big fuss is about the size. It doesn't bother me at all. It's an EXTREMELY fast hard drive. I use it with an esata cable and it's just AMAZING!!! I'd like to call it 'the need for speed'. I 100% recommend it. I received it within a couple of days, no problem there. The orange LED is modern also.
