Lots of space, easy to use August 7, 2010 daniel Transcend StoreJet is small, lightweight, and apparently unbreakable (they say it meets military standards 'drop test').
I got the 320GB storage which is more than adequate.
It has a quick and easy backup storage function. This function could be improved by adding the ability to sync/backup multiple computers. By default, the software is set to sync only one computer.
Device works like a charm with quick USB connection and transfer rate. I'm using it for data storage, backup, and file transfers.
Nice Hard Drive, Nice Price. June 24, 2010 andr0id (Bemidji, MN USA) Well I just received this hard drive earlier today, but so far it seems to be great. It looks nice, feels durable, and does its job! I'm glad I purchased this as the price on it is really good. That kinda had me second guessing, but not anymore. It's a nice little portable hard drive that is durable and comes with some pretty cool software for managing your files, folders, and much more(only if you decide to use it). I would definitely reccommend this to anyone looking for some cheap extra space.
As advertised June 10, 2010 Michael W. Ryan (Virginia, USA) The drive arrived in good shape and functions exactly as advertised. It is a very attractive, compact device and gives the appearance of being quite sturdy. It was easy to install. The only complaint I have is that the software that comes with the purchase is a little balky. The pop-up menus that appear whenever the drive is attached are annoying and serve very little purpose. One can get rid of most of these. I find using Norton for back-ups much more reasonable and certainly more straightforward. In any case, it seems to be a great drive and I am happy with the purchase. Unlike other external drives I have owned, this one is truly portable. I just throw it into my briefcase or bag and go. I use it with an ACER One Aspire 9.1 inch netbook without any issues.
Transcend StoreJet 25 April 27, 2010 S. Prey (CA) Small portable disk drive I use with my netbook. All my desktop files are on this disk and are password protected and encrypted. Files I use regularly or want to add from the netbook are also on this disk in another folder. This gives me a possible 350 GB of data ready to use with my netbook and acts as a backup. I have not tried to partition the disk yet, but there is no reason I can't partition the disk and copy or use another OS and run Windows and Linux files on my dual book netbook. So easy to use. Automatically will run and backup files on Windows. To backup with Linux, use any backup or copying utility. My Ubuntu 9.10 did a backup up perfectly right away. Works just like any CD or disk drive. Not a speedy unit when backing up, but backing up all my data for travel with 350GB drive and a netbook is perfect.
Transcend is all you need April 13, 2010 Hector Bastida (Santa Monica, CA) I was looking for an external hard drive so I could transfer all my XP files before migrating into Windows 7. This drive worked flawlessly. Easy setup, no issues, worked as any hard drive should. Love that this doesn't need an additional power supply. It gets power directly from the USB port. The only downside I've heard of is this drive doesn't offer firewire. Personally it didn't matter to me as I'm using Windows and not Mac. But other than that, I highly recommend it.
