Very Nice and Worth the Price July 24, 2010

Small and quiet, the Oven Mini Portable Hard Drive simply works. It comes with a nice slip-on case and appears to be well constructed. I have only had it for a few days now so I can't know how long it will last or how reliable it will be. But right now it seems to be the perfect choice for my use.
I plan to use the drive almost exclusively for photographs. I'll save all my "KEEPERS," one by one, organizing them in Nuance Paper-Port for easy retrieval. I mention this because that is probably not the usual use for this little hard drive.
By the way, the User Guide mentions that the drive should not be moved when it is reading or writing data. That's actually all you NEED to know to use the drive.
I did download the free NTI 255MB Program (and the free 255MB update), but I probably won't use it. I'll think about that later. I do know that for many users this Program will be essential. Sorry I can't give it a rating.
So that's it. The drive seems to work just like a flash memory card. It, of course, holds a lot more data. I can bring up any of my photographs or other files on any computer that has a live USB port. And I can download photos or other files from any computer the same way. I can even use it with my little PC Eeee Net Book when on vacation. This is all very nice and worth the price.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and personally have an older Western Digital MyPassport. I originally wanted to get him a MyPassport but then I realized the new ones had such bad reviews because of the port being different from regular mini usb or whatnot. Anyhow, I'm very glad I got this one. It transfers quick and is very small and comes with a cute little leather case to keep it safe. I bought this when it was more expensive so now with the cost drop this is an even better deal.

The driver must be in a cool place since it gets hot very fast and this could interrupt the processing.
