do NOT stack July 6, 2010

I've learned the hard way NOT to stack any external hard drive with a Mac Mini, no matter how cute they look together. Stacking causes both to run very very hot, and the external drive will burn out in less than a year.
Good transportable high volume storage July 5, 2010

Since the external terabyte drive with the features I wanted was formatted for the Apple computer, I had to reformat.
It is delightful to have so much available storage space with the portability.
If I had one disappointment, it would be that I could not find an external terabyte drive that also had an IDE or high speed network connection so the read/write access time could be speeded up a great deal.
Also, time will tell how dependable this drive is, so I guess I should maintain backups on CDs or DVDs.

I am very impressed with this product. The Iomega MiniMax external hard drive is fast, quiet, and best of all, it takes up no space on my desk, because it fits perfectly below my Mini Mac. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fair priced backup hard drive, and with 1TB of memory, I'm pretty sure I won't have to shop again for another backup. Thanks, Iomega and Amazon.com.

I sa the other reviews about people getting used ones but did not think it would happen to me but it did. Unit was all scratched and cracked so I sent it back and bought one from OWC.

The hard drive plugged in and was ready to use - super easy. No issues with it. And plenty of room to store things.
