The product description here doesn't mention an important point: this drive requires 3 (THREE) USB ports to power it. Since that's all that many laptops have, it could be cumbersome (you'd have to unplug your mouse, you couldn't transfer to another USB-connected device, etc). In comparison, the Western Digital 320 GB portable drives are much lighter and smaller, have 64% of the space of this one, and need only one USB port (no AC adapter).

Product is good, but if you want to buy a really small portable external HD, be aware that the dimensions are much bigger than shown in the picture in the palm of a hand. That photo is from another model...
