great external drive, just plug in the power adaptor and USB cable and its good to go. no formatting needed, works fine with the FAT32 in WinXP.Transfers are very fast.250GB is plenty of room for 1,000's of MP3's. extra tip, when shutting down pc, use the "safely remove hardware" green icon in the taskbar.Just left click once and select the external drive letter, then shut off switch in back of the Fantom drive.Helps the windows drivers not to become corrupt that way.
I like this Fantom 250GB drive better than the Western Digital externals, and its says assembled in USA, well thats a plus too.
