It was very disappointing to have ordered what was claimed to be a PORTABLE hard drive only to discover it is not. According to all the techies and electronic stores--PORTABLE means it does not need to be plugged in to AC electric as this device needs.

After buying a Trekstor mp3 player and loving it, I figured picking up one of these hard drives would be a solid purchase. I was right. It's small, fast, quiet, and it's pre-formatted - so easy to hook up. I bought it mainly to back up my files at work everyday but I've also been using it at home for music and pictures. It's great.
